I’m a neurodivergent UI/UX designer and full-stack developer. To say that I’m passionate about my work would be an understatement. I pour myself into it and get immersed in it. Because of this, I’ve developed the skills to work with a project from initial design sketches all the way through to frontend and backend development, database design, hosting, and maintenance. I also have experience as a writer and editor before turning to design and develop, which I draw from in my copywriting. My writing style is simple, descriptive, and human-centred.
I take pride in crafting my work, and as such dislike relying on premade platforms and templates. I find joy in building my websites and apps from scratch and seeing my ideas take shape. My work lies at the intersection of style and functionality, and I believe in integrating the two and not sacrificing one for the other.
Additionally, as a disabled person myself, I highly value web accessibility, and experience first-hand its impact on the quality of one’s online experiences and life in general. My approach to my work is premised on the belief that accessibility is an architecture, not an afterthought. I believe in digital technology as a tool to create accommodations and imagine better possibilities.
