Talky Time

Talky Time is a mobile web app built with Python and Flask. It’s a conversation card game with decks for partners, friends, and strangers, and it allows users to create an account and add their own questions.

I designed the interface to have a minimalist yet playful aesthetic. The app has a dashboard that shows how many questions remain in the deck being played, and users can move the cards forward or backward or reset/reshuffle the deck.

This app was inspired by my own use of conversation card games. As a neurodivergent person, I often rely on them to help me connect with others, and I wanted to share this form of accommodation with people who, like me, sometimes struggle to talk in social settings.

eyeFocused

Web pages are often filled with clutter. Online articles are nowadays difficult to navigate because of how many banners, pop-ups, and other distractions they have. This inspired me to create eyeFocused, a web app that allows you to read without distractions. eyeFocused allows you to submit any text, and the app blurs it out except for the part you’re on. You can easily move up and down the line/paragraph in focus using your mouse, keyboard, or touch screen. The reading page is distraction-free and clutter-free.

eyeFocused is a progressive web app, and as such, you can save it on the home screen of your mobile device and use it offline as a standalone app.

Interactive Music Theory Guide

Many aspiring musicians and music enthusiasts find music theory boring and difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. I built this interactive music theory guide to make learning music theory fun, engaging, and accessible to beginners.

The guide features a keyboard that plays when you click on an audio sample included in the lessons. This provides an auditory and visual demonstration of the lessons, to facilitate understanding. Additionally, to reinforce the lessons—and have fun!—you can play on the keyboard yourself, using your mouse, computer keyboard, or touch screen.
